Energy efficiency for buildings

Energy efficiency verification of air-conditioning systems in buildings

13/02/2021

The air-conditioning systems with a rated electrical output of more than 12 kW are subject to energy efficiency verifications.

The main tasks of the energy efficiency verification of the air-conditioning systems are:

  • assessing the system conformity with the original design and the subsequent renovations, as well as with the actual requirements and the current condition of the building;
  • evaluating the existing set-up, operation and maintenance of the systems with the manufacturer's requirements;
  • evaluating the actual energy performance of the air-conditioning systems;
  • making recommendations for possible improvements to the systems' energy performance in order to reduce the consumption of energy resources and carbon dioxide emissions;
  • providing information on compiling and maintaining a database on the condition of the air-conditioning systems.

The results of the energy efficiency verification of the air-conditioning systems are reflected in the "Energy Efficiency Verification of the Air-Conditioning Systems Report".
