Energy efficiency for buildings
Assessment of energy savings of buildings
12/02/2021
The assessment of achieved energy savings in a building is prepared in accordance with the provisions and procedures of Ordinance No Е-РД-04-1 dated 22 January 2016 for energy efficiency audits, certification and evaluation of energy savings of buildings and aims to certify the amount of energy saved as a result of implemented energy-saving measures in the building.
The energy savings assessment proves the actual energy savings achieved as a result of the implementation of one or more energy efficiency improvement measures in the buildings.
The assessment of the energy savings achieved in a building can be performed for:
- a complete package of combined energy-saving measures recommended with an energy efficiency audit, regardless of the number of measures in the package, or
- a single measure implemented. The impact from its implementation is not evaluated by an audit.
Based on the energy savings assessment of the building, a "Protocol on the Assessment of Achieved Energy Savings in the Building" is drawn up, which is the basis for the provision of the Energy Savings Certificate by SEDA (Sustainable Energy Development Agency).
